Know about Robert Howell Insurance Commissioner

Robert Howell Insurance Commissioner or Robert John Howell, who’s also known by his nickname Howdy was born in Floyd County, KY in 1927 on May 22nd. He was the oldest of six children and grew up in poverty during The Great Depression in the US. He joined the U.S Air Force (USAF) at age 18 and served during World War II from 1945 to 1947 as a radio operator in the Philippines and Japan where he was exposed to harsh weather conditions.

From 1995 to 1999, he served as city attorney for Aiken, South Carolina and from 1999 until 2003 served as county attorney for Richmond County. In 2002, he also served on President Bush’s Council on Critical Infrastructure Protection Board.

I want to improve the level of education and awareness so that more people can make informed decisions about how they manage their insurance coverage.Robert has been a lifelong resident of North Carolina, graduating from UNC-Wilmington with his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He has also earned his MBA from Anderson University in Indiana.
